Cotutelle Agreements
Cotutelle agreements, also known as co-supervision agreements, are initiated by PhD students who are studying at the Doctoral School of Wrocław University of Science and Technology and at a partner university abroad.
These agreements enable PhD students to complete a joint education programme under the supervision of two supervisors and to apply for a doctoral degree awarded jointly by both institutions. Admission to the education programme at both universities is a prerequisite for concluding the agreement.
Implementing the Cotutelle programme results in a single defence before a joint doctoral committee and the awarding of a doctoral degree by each party to the agreement, in accordance with applicable national regulations.
