On October 12, 2023, a next edition of the competition for increased scholarships for the 2023/2024 academic year starts for PhD students of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year of the Doctoral School receiving a doctoral scholarship financed by the University. The deadline for submitting the application is October 24, 2023 by 2 PM. The amount of increase is 1 081,50 PLN per month. A doctoral scholarship with an increased amount is awarded for one academic year on the basis of an assessment of the doctoral student's achievements in preparing a doctoral dissertation in the preceding academic year.
The application should be prepared in the doctoral school system (details below), and then the completed and signed application should be submitted in paper form to the dean's office of the Doctoral School in building A-1 room 313.
The application should be accompanied by a printout of the publications and citations from the DONA system with the publications obtained for the period to be assessed, i.e., period from 1.10.2022 to 30.09.2023.

The competition rules are described in the Dean's Information No. 11/2020-2024 (link). Information on the maximum number of doctoral students per year in individual scientific disciplines who can receive a scholarship of an increased amount, the committees assessing the achievements of doctoral students and the schedule for considering applications are described in the Dean's Information No. 57/2020-2024 (link).
The required condition for granting the scholarship is the fact that the doctoral student has at least one of the following above-standard scientific achievements, which are considered to be:
The below table presents the minimum number of points of an article published in a scientific journal or reviewed materials from international conferences, required for a given scientific discipline and year of education. The number of points is determined on the basis of the current list of scientific journals and reviewed materials from international conferences announced by the minister responsible for higher education and science.
