Competition for a scholarship from the own fund for scholarships

On March 11, 2026, the next edition of the competition of scientific scholarships from the own fund for scholarships of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology will be launched (according to the rules set out in ZW 96/2025).


The deadline for submitting the application is:  March 26,2026, 1:00 p.m.


The application must be submitted via  the doctoral school system, and then the completed and signed application must be submitted in paper form to the dean's office of the Doctoral School in building A-1 room 313.

The application should be accompanied by a printout of the publications  from the DONA system (https://dona.pwr.edu.pl/zamowienie-wykazu/) with the publications, SPR reports and citations obtained for the period to be assessed:

  • For doctoral students of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th year two semesters are assessed, therefore the printout from the DONA should cover the period 28.02.2025-01.03.2026.
  • For doctoral students of the 1st year one semester is assessed, therefore the printout from the DONA should cover the period 01.10.2025-01.03.2026

The schedule of the competition is as follows:

11.03.2026 starting receiving applications
26.03.2026 1:00 p.m. closing the round of electronic generation of applications, finalizing the receipt of paper applications
30.03.2026-12.05.2026 consideration of applications by Committee appointed by the Rector
from 13.05.2026 sending results to doctoral students


Competition's rules


A research scholarship from its own fund for scholarships from Wrocław University of Science and Technology, hereinafter referred to as the "scholarship", may be awarded to a doctoral student undergoing education at the Doctoral School that perfectly complies with the provisions of the Regulations of the Doctoral School of the Wrocław University of Technology, distinguished by activity and creative research or artistic achievements directly related to the preparation of a doctoral dissertation.


A research scholarship from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology scholarships may be awarded to a doctoral student studying at the Doctoral School who exemplarily fulfills the provisions of the Wrocław University of Technology Doctoral School Regulations and has distinguished himself by active and creative research or artistic achievements directly related to the preparation of the doctoral dissertation. The basis for granting the scholarship are scientific achievements directly related to the preparation of the doctoral dissertation and obtained in the last two semesters preceding the scholarship application, or scientific achievements obtained in the last semester preceding the scholarship application, if the doctoral student received the scholarship in the summer semester of the previous academic year.


The required condition for granting the scholarship is the fact that the doctoral student has at least one of the following above-standard scientific achievements, which are considered to be:

  • an article published in a scientific journal or in peer-reviewed materials from international conferences, which were assigned 100, 140 or 200 points on the Minister's list,
  • a scientific monograph with 80 or 200 points assigned to the Minister's list,
  • patent for an invention or protection rights for a utility model, for which 50, 75 or 100 points are awarded.

 50 scholarships in the amount of 5300 PLN were awarded to doctoral students.


If the doctoral student or supervisor is located outside Wrocław, instead of a scan, an application signed electronically by the doctoral student and supervisor may be uploaded to the system.


System instructions:


  • Enter the system  (link).
  • Select the "LOGIN" button.
  • Log in using the standard login.
  • Go to the "Scholarships" tab and select the appropriate item. You will receive an email notifying you of the creation of the application.
  • Edit the application and complete it according to the instructions provided.
  • After completing the application, save it and send it to the Supervisor with the "Send to Supervisor" button. The Supervisor will receive an e-mail with a notification and instructions for logging in. If your application requires a correction, you will be informed.
  • After the Supervisor accepts the application, you will receive a notification. Then download the pdf version of the application, print it, sign it and place the scanned version in the system.
  • Submit your application using the "Submit Application" button. You will receive a notification confirming your application has been submitted.

In accordance with Internal Regulation ZW 42/2026, for the 2025/2026 academic year, the members of the Scholarship Committee for the Wrocław University of Science and Technology’s Own Scholarship Fund for Doctoral Students are as follows:
