Schedule of the Recruitment Process for Academic Year 2025/2026
Main deadlines for primary recruitment (scholarship is funded directly by the university):
- The application starts on May 6, 2025.
- The application deadline is June 3, 2025.
- Interviews: June 25, 2025 - July 11, 2025.
- Results will be available from July 25, 2025.
Detailed schedule (primary recruitment):
- From May 6, 2025 to June 3, 2025, the documents can be submitted in the recruitment system.
- By June 17, 2025, we verify the completeness and correctness of documents submitted by candidates. By this date, missing and / or incorrect documents must be completed.
- From June 25, 2025 to July 11, 2025, recruitment committees organize interviews for candidates for the Doctoral School. Information on the dates of conducted interviews is posted here.
- After assessing the candidates, by July 18, 2025, the recruitment committees prepare the ranking lists.
- From July 25, 2025, the Dean's Office provides information to candidates about the achieved recruitment results as well as a conditional decision letters are issued that can be used to apply for Polish visa.
- By September 15, 2025, candidates shall provide the master diploma, if the diploma has not been submitted previously.
- From September 19, 2025, the final list of accepted candidates is prepared and decisions are issued to refuse admission to the Doctoral School.
If, during the basic recruitment, the number of qualified candidates in the education discipline is lower than the allocated number of recruitment places, the Rector, at the request of the Dean of the Doctoral School, may consent to additional recruitment in this education discipline.
• From September 1, 2025 to September 5, 2025, candidates for the Doctoral School submit documents in the IRK recruitment system.
• Until September 12, 2025, the Doctoral School office will verify the completeness and correctness of documents submitted by candidates to the Doctoral School in the IRK recruitment system.
• By September 16, 2025, the Doctoral School office submits lists of candidates along with documents to individual recruitment committees.
• From September 17, 2025 to September 23, 2025, recruitment committees organize interviews for candidates to the Doctoral School. Information about the dates of job interviews is posted on the website: szd.pwr.edu.pl
• After assessing the candidates, by September 24, 2025, the recruitment committees prepare lists of candidates who did not obtain the minimum recruitment score and ranking lists of candidates who exceeded the minimum recruitment score. Recruitment documentation is forwarded to the Doctoral School office.
• From September 25, 2025, the Doctoral School office provides information to candidates about the recruitment results.
• From September 25, 2025, candidates who have been admitted to the Doctoral School are entered on the list of doctoral students and decisions to refuse admission to the Doctoral School are issued.
• Education at the Doctoral School may begin on the first day of the winter semester or the first day of the summer semester of the academic year to which recruitment applies, in accordance with the academic calendar applicable at Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
If, during the regular and supplementary admissions processes (September 2025), the number of qualified candidates in a given discipline is lower than the number of places specified in § 6, Section 1 of the Admissions Rules for the Doctoral School of Wrocław University of Science and Technology for the 2025/2026 Academic Year, the Rector, at the request of the Dean of the Doctoral School, may consent to conducting supplementary admissions in that discipline.
- From February 2, 2026, to February 5, 2026, candidates to the Doctoral School must submit their documents in the IRK recruitment system.
- By February 12, 2026, the Doctoral School Office will verify the completeness and accuracy of the documents submitted by candidates to the Doctoral School in the IRK recruitment system.
- By February 13, 2026, the Doctoral School Office will submit the candidate lists and documents to the individual admissions committees. From February 16, 2026, to February 20, 2026, the admissions committees will organize interviews for candidates for the Doctoral School. Information about the interview dates is posted on the interview website.
- After evaluating the candidates, by February 23, 2026, the admissions committees will prepare lists of candidates who did not achieve the minimum admission score and ranking lists of candidates who exceeded the minimum admission score. Admission documentation is forwarded to the Doctoral School office.
- Starting February 24, 2026, the Doctoral School office will provide candidates with information on their admission results.
- Starting February 24, 2026, candidates accepted to the Doctoral School will be entered on the list of doctoral students, and decisions denying admission to the Doctoral School will be issued.
- Education at the Doctoral School may begin on the first day of the winter semester or the first day of the summer semester of the academic year to which the recruitment applies, in accordance with the academic calendar applicable at Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
Additional Recruitment (scholarship is funded by a research project)
Recruitment from projects, i.e. recruitment for candidates with funding from other sources outside the university, excluding the "Implementation Doctorate" program, is carried out in the period from May 6, 2025 to February 13, 2026.
Additional Information:
- Admission to the Doctoral School takes place by being entered on the list of doctoral students after the candidate meets all the conditions for admission to the Doctoral School.
- Refusal of admission to the Doctoral School is made by way of an administrative decision of the Rector. A person who is refused admission to the Doctoral School based on the recruitment result will be served with the Rector's decision. There is no appeal against this decision.
- A person who is dissatisfied with the Rector's decision to refuse admission to the Doctoral School may apply to the Rector, through the Dean's Office of the Doctoral School, for reconsideration of the case, within 14 days from the date of delivery of the decision.
- Education at the Doctoral School may begin on the first day of the winter semester or the first day of the summer semester of the academic year to which recruitment applies, in accordance with the academic calendar applicable at Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
