Guidelines on the use of AI tools for doctoral students of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology:
- Use AI in a manner consistent with ethical principles and applicable laws. Always ensure that AI-generated content does not violate copyright or other intellectual property rights. Review the terms of service of the AI tools you use.
- Clearly label any content created with the help of AI. Inform students and colleagues about your use of AI in teaching and other professional activities, as well as the specific tools you use.
- Verify AI-generated information before publishing, using it in academic and research work, or applying it professionally. Do not create content that may mislead, offend, or harm others.
- Avoid entering personal or sensitive data, as well as intellectual or business-critical information, into AI systems. Such data may, under certain circumstances, become public. Ensure compliance with GDPR (RODO) and the internal regulations of Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
- Use AI as a supplementary tool in the teaching process without replacing comprehensive educational efforts or student assessments. As an academic instructor, clearly communicate to students the extent to which they are allowed to use generative AI tools.
- Regularly expand your knowledge and participate in training sessions on responsible and effective use of AI technologies.
- Remember that you are responsible for the content you publish or share, even if it was created using AI.

- Use AI as a support tool, not as the primary source for creating academic assignments or projects. Your work must reflect your own knowledge and skills. Follow the AI usage rules established by your academic instructor. Utilize AI as a tool to enhance your creativity and skills rather than as a substitute for independent work.
- Participate in training sessions on responsible and effective use of AI offered by the university.
- Remember that you are fully responsible for the content you present, even if it was produced using AI.
